Whether you have existing specialist skills to bring to the charity or you would like to try new things we would love to hear from you. Whether it’s a day a week or an hour once a month we can be as flexible as you need us to be.
Our current roles for volunteering are with the Community larder and this could be anything from bag packing, bread sorting, supermarket collections, to deliveries and a drivers buddy. Other opportunities mainly based are the Hall are activities such as the café/ kitchen, reception, admin, finance, marketing, meet and greet, gardening, events and maintenance.
People volunteer for many different reasons. Some of our team do so in order to improve employability and we are happy to provide plenty of individual help with this, others make friends, improve their confidence and like to make a contribution to their community. Our volunteers are a very important part of our team and frequently comment on the sociable aspect of their involvement at the hall and enjoy getting to know new people.
